A wave of xenophobic attacks spread through South African townships on Monday as mobs beat foreigners and set some ablaze like during the apartheid era. At least 13 people were killed over the weekend. Immigrants from other African nations are accused of taking jobs and committing violent crimes. They are lured by work in South Africa's mines, farms and homes, and by one of the world's most liberal immigration and refugee policies. An Estimated 3 million Zimbabweans are in South Africa, they fled the economic collapse following the end of white rule.
The unrest is an embarrassment for a country that has vaunted its tolerance since the end of apartheid.

South Africa has made the same mistake as Europe in allowing many immigrants. When will leaders realize that a liberal immigration policy means eventual self-destruction. We urge all nations to stop these dangerous levels of senseless immigration. According to The Center for Perpetual Diversity prosperous nations have the most to lose and the entire world will lose if Western nations collapse.
